The Little Vulva, SaltSpace, Glasgow (2022)
The stories we hear as children form our impression of the world. They communicate to us about morality, sexuality and society, simultaneously reflecting and shaping human understanding and culture. But what if the tales our society tells are corrupt? What if their lessons intend to condition us to conform to our own oppression?
The Little Vulva uses sculpture, illustration and story-telling to explore objectification, rape culture and the traditional role of working-class woman as story-teller, warning us of the danger that lurks beneath the surface of society.
